What is the best winter resort in the United States?

My family wants to go winter holiday in Nice, but do not know where go. Our family has 3 children aged 14.12 and 10. Any suggestion and thats why your favorite?

Pikes Peak, Colorado. The mountain has some water falls. there is a train to proceed. then there is the garden of the gods beside the mountain behind the mountain there is an old western town called cripple creak. where a lot of western movies made there. can skie there. I lived there for three years. my half brother lives there.
