What is your favorite vacation place to bring young children?

We live in Pittsburgh PA, so I'm looking for something beyond after 6-8 hours by car. I have a 16 month old very active and a girl of 6 years. Thank you so much!

At the other end of the PA. Pencils Color Crayola factory tour and child play area in Easton. On the way back, Amish country (jct. of Rt 30 and 896) and Hands-On Museum Children's House around Lancaster, Hershey Park, zooAmerica, Middletown and Hummelstown Railroad, the state capital of Harrisburg Area.
