Need ideas for cheap holidays in April.?

We live in Northwest, PA and would love to have my children on holiday in April. (ages 4 and 7) I do not know where to go … We are looking for a place that is fairly cheap (I can not spend thousands of dollars and I found that some of the best places that have been or are free from dirt cheap) and within 10 hours of Pittsburgh. Please give me some ideas – where to go, fun things to do there, and good weather in April? We only 5 days to go somewhere. We have considered before Myrtle Beach, because my kids love to be near the sea, but I've never been there. Thank you!
