Vacation Ideas In Texas
Vacation Ideas In Texas
What is a good holiday in Texas? Need ideas for what to do. Thxs?

Tube the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels. Go to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels (7 water parks in one – my favorite! Been 4 times and probably 5 this year! Definitely worth the $ and have a station there on the site). Eat at the salt lick at Driftwood Springs (Austin area) for the best Texas barbecue on the planet! See the State Capitol in Austin and the UT campus (see the tower of a man shot so many students a few years ago, the man who took him is now the only State Trooper who never had to go through the Academy for training, he was offered a job open for what he did in the UT Tower) … the Capitol Building is the model for the nation's capital, but the Capitol Texas is just 13 feet higher! If you like live music, you might want to spend some extra time in Austin, our live music capitol. Go south to San Antonio and stop in San Marcos to the multitude of shops that are selling, there is a Starbucks on the highway to the north too!:) Walk down the path of Catholic churches San Antonio, beautiful architecture! Do the Riverwalk in San Antonio during the day but return at night, or sit in one of the restaurants on the Riverwalk as it gets the sun … pretty cool! Go to the Alamo, if you are into historical material. San Anotnio also has Sea World and Fiesta Texas (Six Flags). White sandy beaches Island South Padre sand are south of there. That is the Corpus Christi area and have a navy aircraft carrier can visit there too. There is a monument and a museum for singer Salina there. Schlitterbahn is a park there, but I hear not begin to compare to the New Braunfels park. There is NASA, the aquarium, the Battleship Texas, monument San Jacinto (Texas battleground where he won his indepoendence of Mexico) and the Museum of Natural Science in Houston (the blob that swallowed Texas, very wet and full people, not a very nice vacation spot outside the few attractions.) Galveston is a bit near Houston, but not as good as the Father. If you leave without the children, you must stay at Landmark Inn State Historic Site (see Texas Historical Commission). It is an old French house that still has time furniture (French Country) and is a romantic and quiet place to stay. There is a wonderful little French restaurant in town is likely to relate to that, a little expensive, but very elegant and unbelieveably delicious! You can go north of Dallas / Fort Worth too. Stop in Waco in the Texas Ranger Museum and learn about the second oldest organism of enforcement in the world (2nd to Scotland Yard). DFW is Six Flags, Wet and Wild, Las Colinas, and the Fort Worth Stockyards. In the corrals are Billy Bob's, a current nightclubs, and some wear western exclusive shopping. You WILL see cowboys on horseback riding through the streets. Dallas is more than an economic center, such as Houston. You may be able to get visits to Texas Stadium and there is some nightlife and shopping in the West End – the area from the Tower Meeting. The Tower is a restaurant Meeting Swivel / longe which is the famous dance in the city skyline, I think there is also an observation area in one of the higher plants. In Canton, just south have a large garage Swap Meet which is like a giant garage sale on Saturday I think. Not much to do in our state, do not have space to write everything you just to beat some of my personal favorites. If you want to see some more natural things, we have an impressive state parks system, including its web address. Have a great time, and do not forget sunscreen and a hat, you'll need them!
