Vacation in Oahu??????

Anyone have reccomendations on the best oceanfront hotels and resorts? I was looking at Hotel Turtle Bay but I want to look at more.

For my honeymoon, we stayed at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort. It was AMAZING!! We went up to Turtle Bay, and it was nice, but a much bigger resort. Ihilani is on it’s own lagoon, where you can snorkel (we saw turtles 2 of the 3 days we snorkeled). If you are looking for a place to go with kids or that is a bit bigger,I’d say Turtle Bay or Waikiki are nice, but if you want a calm, relaxing place, I’d say go near Ko Olina (where Ihilani is). The sunsets are amazing, you can feel comfortable leaving your stuff on the beach without someone watching it, and it is beautiful!!!

We stayed for 8 days, 7 nights and weren’t ready to leave! Also, it is just a short drive (like 5 min.) to Kapolei (sp) where they have all kids of restaurants & a Safeway. We drove around pretty much the entire island in one day.

If you want a good book, I highly recommend Ohau, Revealed- It was SO helpful! It had lots of the main highlights with some “off the beaten path” ideas, which were fun!
