If you take a family holiday.?

I am planning a vacation for my family (my wife and two children 12 and 6) for late November early December 2010. He considered New York City and Aspen Colorado. I need other suggestions of places to visit and things to do there. Anywhere in the U.S. and five nights.

Florida? I'm in Canada and many people here love the beach in Florida.
